About Kenjutsu AND Kobudo
Buke Hiden (武家秘伝) means “secret tradition” or “secret techniques” are passed down literally or orally from generation to generation within the samurai family’s member.
The appointed member(s) who possess these techniques is usually extremely secretive about them in order to ensure that no one other than the members of the family or the successor(s) learn them. As such, they are usually passed down through oral means instead of being written down or recorded. A few hiden techniques require a special ability or lineage and as such are usually the pride and fame of the family that possesses them.
This is a blog about traditional Japanese bujutsu, I treat it as serious as a Buke
Hiden, but I don't exclude those areas other than kenjutsu and kobudo, nor anything that is not origin in Japan.
I try to explore and dedicate to both the classical and the modern eclectic martial arts.
It’s not a displaying of ryu(s) or a library of techniques of various ryu(s). However, I select the practical drills from different ryu(s) and countries of origin that I think they are distinct.
It is a great chance to share my idea to you, please feel free to tell me what you think and give me feedback in the FORUM page or contact me through the CONTACT ME page.
